Ch’adore is a response to the many facets of the Chador. A play on the words chador and j’adore (I adore you), this works extends an ongoing fascination with veiling and the multiple ways in which is both loved and loathed. The work was originally made as part of the Rough Diamonds Exhibition as part of Creative Alliance in 2005 at the Mailbox in Birmingham. It was further developed with the additions of cast petrol nozzles for a solo exhibition at The Edge Gallery, Sheffield, 2006.
